First Page Friday: Game Changer

This week has been Crazy with a capital C! Exam week at my middle school. Grades had to get finished and turned in. Kids were excited about the break. Oh so much fun! I’m sure your week was just as crazy. So needless to say I didn’t get First Page Friday up on Friday.

Can’t believe it is 4 days until Christmas (if you celebrate that holiday)! I have so much to do before then.

Game Changer is a book I’m really looking forward to reading! Normally I’m don’t care much about watching people run around on a field and make a ton of money doing this. But I do live in Texas so I have learned to appreciate football and I don’t mind watching it. (For those who don’t know, in Texas football is practically our religion!)

Here is your weekly look at page one of a book. This is another Lone Start List book.

Game Changer

This book is about a boy who takes a hit on the field and is in critical condition. Through newspaper articles, medical records, texting among friends and family, they discover there might be more to this than a mere accident.

I’m trying to get my hands on enough copies to use this book in my spring book clubs in the classroom because I think my sport enthusiast students are going to love this book!
